With awards season well underway, and anticipation of The Oscars on Sunday, we took four lovely school dinner ladies, and found them delightful dresses to wear to their work award ceremony dinner. You can see the results of our makeovers on The Hour tonight at 5pm on STV.
Finding the perfect dress for a special occasion is never easy, so here's my foolproof guide to suiting your shape, to make sure YOU feel a million dollars on your next big night out, too!
Best for Small Bust....
If you want to make your bust look fuller, opt for dresses for draping and detailing around the bust, to distract from your shape. A high, beaded neckline, or an asymmetric style will show-off toned arms and shoulders, while maximising your bust!
Best for hiding upper arms....
If you want to disguise those bingo wings, go for dresses with a loose sleeve detail. Avoid dresses with a tight, cap sleeve that will dig-in to the flesh on your arm, and instead look for loose chiffon, or lace floaty sleeves!

Best for top-heavy....
Big busts are minimised by deep v-necks. They help to break up the bust line, and show-off your killer cleavage. Remember to find dresses that have structure around the waist, to nip you in, and create an hourglass shape.
Best for pear shapes...
If your tummy or thighs are your problem area, you should look for dresses with draping down the lower half. These dresses will skim over your lumps and bumps and create a streamlined silhouette.
