Don't Be Afraid To Touch

OMG-When I came across these gloves, I got super excited. Echo Wool-Blend Touch Gloves are the second item I'm adding to my Christmas list. The gloves feature a special material on the thumb and pointer finger that allow you to use touch sensitive devices like iphones. I have a difficult time texting on my iphone when it's 99 degrees and sunny. So I'm thrilled that I can keep my hands warm this winter and still text. Echo gloves are available in a wide variety of colors and sizes which makes them perfect for all ages and sexes. Considering how much touch sensitive devices cost, I think $30 is justifiable for these gloves!

For a dressier look, leather gloves are the way to go. Check out gloves from J. Crew, Banana Republic and Target. My favorite color gloves this winter come in purple and green hues.

I Only Need One

I recently saw images of Wendy Williams interview with Chris Brown and noticed she was wearing a hot one-shoulder long sleeve dress by Robert Rodriguez. I'm undecided about the color as it reminds me of Pepito-Bismol. Luckily it comes in black which I think is a bit more sexy and chic.

Robert Rodriguez one-shoulder silk ruffle dress available at intermixonline.com $398

I have always been a fan of one-shoulder dresses and absolutely love that designers are making them with longer sleeves. They are great sexy options for winter parties. Here are 3 of my favorites.....

Video Phone

So I know "I'm a day late and a dollar short," but I finally saw the video for "Video Phone Remix" by Beyonce featuring Lady Gaga. I know B has some haters out there but I'm not among them. Having Lady Gaga on the remix was a great addition. I was curious how Lady Gaga would integrate with Beyonce's dance style-she did OK. I will say that the video has the ghetto flavor of "Upgrade You." It's that Jay in her...LOVE IT!

I knew both ladies would find pants unnecessary. They love rocking swimsuits in the daytime. B was rocking the orange tulle swimsuit with a cape from Soleil by Jean Paul Gaultier spring/ summer 2010 collection and a Jean Paul Gaultier Couture fall/winter 2009 stretch gabardine trench style bodysuit with matching thigh high boots. Jean Paul Gaultier will be designing a line for Target and it's scheduled to hit stores March 7- April 11 2010. Super excited!!!

She is also rocking the Giuseppe Zanotti special order mirrored thigh high boots in the first dance scene. They can be yours for ~$3K's...they're SICK!!!!

Meggings-Where They Do That At???

So I was watching a recorded episode of The Tyra Show last night. Yes, The Tyra Show. I needed momentum to finish reading New Moon before Friday. Normally after 15 minutes of the show, I delete it and move forward with more productive things such as reading. So I guess Tyra is truly inspiring.

Anyway, Tyra had a fashion show of androgynous trends and one was meggings. Meggings=male leggings=male leg candy=Richard Simmons=should not be worn=EVER. I think it's important for men to pop the bubble of conventional fashion parameters like Jay-Z pops "Ace of Spades." But I don't know if I can support this new discovery. I can't see myself holding hands with a guy and gazing into his eyes while he is wearing meggings. What do you think-Yeah or Nay?????

Give It Up To Me

I love Shakira's music! Check out her latest single “Give It Up To Me” featuring Lil Wayne, with Timbaland on the beat-Yeah or Nay??

I swear the only people left for Lil Wayne to collaborate with are Big Bird, Burt & Ernie and Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street.

It's Personal

Today I've started to identify items for my Christmas list. Although I'm not sure who's reading the list besides me. I think I was placed on Santa's 'naughty list' around age 8 and was never removed. But this year I plan to visit Santa and clear the situation up.

My friend Jennifer C. recently wore an amazing personalized necklace that I love and it's going on my list. The necklace is by another Jennifer, Jennifer Zeuner. Jennifer Z's personalized necklace is preppy but also really chic. You can layer it with other contrasting necklaces to make it more funky or wear it alone for a more classic look. I think this necklace is perfect for any age female and is a piece you can wear for years. The necklace is available in vermeil and silver for $242 and has graced the necks of Taylor Swift and Lauren Conrad.

Nerdy Eyewear

I've delayed visting the Optometrist for my annual eye exam until the last day- Dec 31, 2009. I think it's out of fear from my childhood. When I was in the 6th grade I got my first pair of eyeglasses- thick frames with bifocals! Not the invisible bifocals that are common today, but the old school ones that clearly identified you as blind! I begged my mother to let me get wire frames. But she insisted that I was to young for that style frame and that I needed something more durable. WHAT?!? Durable? My activities consisted of girl scouts, piano and band-aka nerd sports. I couldn't believe that she would expect me to wear the hideous super thick, geek glasses she selected. DISCLAIMER: In 6th grade the words chic, fabulous, style, freedom of choice and trend were clearly nonexistent in my life. Anyway, my mom bought me glasses similar to the ones that the rockers and rappers wear today. She had me 17 years ahead of the trend. Thanks mom!

If I do need to upgrade my current glasses, Dita Eyewear has great nerdy chic options.
