Lauren is on vaca so we're skipping Wellness Wednesday and focusing on the fashion crisis I just solved!
I got caught up in the hype last year and purchased a pair of leather leggings. I convinced myself they would be a classic item, I'd wear them often, they are better than latex, blah, blah, blah. Well, I haven't worn them once. Mainly because I couldn't figure out what type of top I wanted to wear. I've decided I need a top that covers my butt and one that can also be worn alone. A 2 for 1 special so to speak. I found a beautiful gray silk-jersey playsuit by Elizabeth & Jane, but it's $490. Way over my budget, but it gives me inspiration. I need to wear the leggings ASAP since it's going to be spring soon! Here's what I'm thinking....
I love the fashion and style of Olivia Palmero from The City. She wears leather leggings quite often. I need to devote an entire post to her!

I Thought You'd Like It
DAMAGES Season 3 premiered last night on FX...finally. If you've never watched the series before, I urge you to watch Seasons 1 (free on Hulu) and 2. You will not be disappointed. The upcoming scenes for this season indicate that it's going to be another roller coaster ride!
Anyway, Ellen Parsons (Rose Bryne) received a $3000 Chanel purse as a gift from Patty Hewes (Glen Close). When Ellen asked why she bought it, Patty's response was classic, "I thought you'd like it." Well, for those curious, I like it and will not question why you purchased it. I'm not even picky on the color, and I'll even pick it up from the boutique. I had a hard time finding the bag from the episode, butI found another one that I love, The Classic 2.55 Transparent Ice Cube Bag.
I already have my outfits ready......

Starfish Jewelry from Target
While shopping at Target this weekend, I came across the most amazing starfish jewelry. It's so similar to jewelry I saw last summer at J. Crew, but much cheaper. It really makes me want to go on a tropical vaca! cough cough
Charm Necklace $39.99
Charm Bracelet $29.99
Coral Bead Necklace with Starfish $39.99
Starfish and Crab Necklace $19.99 each
Charm Necklace $19.99
The price point isn't too bad and Target normally has great markdowns. Just don't know if I can wait. I already have an outfit ready!

It Just Ain't Worth It!
Cafe Pess $5
My name is Tiffany and I use to text while driving. Use to is the keyword. After watching The Oprah Show and listening to family members share heart wrenching, 100% preventable stories, of their love ones killed by people texting while driving, I'm not participating in this foolish activity anymore. Who cares if it's the law in NC! People do not deliver important messages via text, and since my phone number isn't 9-1-1, you can wait. My Mom has always been a stickler for using cellphones while driving. This is normally how our conversation goes:Me: Hey Mom!
Mom: Are you in your car driving?
Me: Yes, why do you always ask me that? And hello to you too.
Mom: Because talking on the phone driving is dangerous!
Me: Mom, I got this!
Mom: Call me later-
Me: Listening to the dial tone!
I'm making an effort to use a handsfree device when I need to make or take important calls. I need to spend my driving time enhancing my knowledge on more important things anyway, like news and culture via NPR.

Wellness Wednesdays With Lauren: Fabulous Pesto
Today I learned that Tiff would like for me to post recipes... she then admitted that she would actually like for me to create an entire cookbook . She later decided that this cookbook would also include me performing as a personal chef by preparing and then delivering her meals. Similar to NutriSystem...I'd call it FabulousFood4Tiff.
So, prepare to kick your Lean Cuisines to the curb! Today I begin my collection of recipes for my "cookbook"! Last night I prepared pesto sauce over whole wheat pasta. Now, this photo might not look like much, but it was truly delicious and you only need a tiny bit of the sauce. I recommend tossing the sauce with the pasta and topping with fresh parmesan cheese.
Pesto Sauce
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
2/3 cup packed fresh basil leaves
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons pine nuts
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 garlic clove, peeled
Directions:
In a food processor or blender, combine all ingredients; cover and process until blended. Use immediately or transfer to an airtight container. Cover and refrigerate for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.

Wool And The Gang
It's been 60 degrees in Raleigh for the last couple of days and I've been enjoying every moment mainly in doors cleaning! Sucks because I know it will be back in the 30's and 40's later this week. So in anticipation, I'm keeping my coat, gloves, and scarf close by.
This weekend I came across a cool multifunctional hoody/scarf by Wool and The Gang. Wool and The Gang encourages chic peeps to KIY. Instead of purchasing an item, you order a kit that includes yarn, needles and instructions, and you knit it yourself (KIY).
Hoody/Scarf Kit $149
I always wanted to give knitting a try, and if I want this hoody, I'll have to do just that. The design group recently opened their first store in New York's SoHo neighborhood, where they sell wooden needles, Peruvian yarn, and knitting patterns. Here are some of my faves....
Over My Shoulder $85
Lil' Joe Vest $139
Snood Dogg $95

Golden Globe Fashion Recap
Zoe Saldena in Louis Vuitton. LOVE IT!!!!
Kate Hudson wearing Marchesa strapless gown and Casadei’s Signature 3504 triple platform pumps.
Mariah Carey in a skin tight Herve Leger dress. I can't even discuss "the girls." Nick with his signature pose-holding that darn umbrella. Mariah, I really need my diamonds back!
Mo'Nique wearing Reem Acra, walked away with Best Supporting Actress
Drew Berrymore in Atelier Versace. The side beads look like a couture fanny pack.
Halle Berry wearing Kaufman Franco. There are no words.....43 yrs old??? Looks better than most 23 yr olds.
Chloe Sevigny in Valentino. Maybe it looked better in person because it reminds me of a 1985 bed dust ruffle. To bad her escort ripped it!
Heidi Klum wearing Roberto Cavalli. Love the color but still curious where her baby fat goes!
Penelope Cruz wearing Giorgio Armani Prive. Beautiful dress but no surprise it's black.
Christina Aguilara wearing Versace. Love the new hair cut and toned down makeup!
Cameron Diaz in Alexandar McQueen dress. Wished she would have borrowed some of Mariah's diamonds!
Fergie in Elie Saab. Love the color and it's a beautiful dress, but reminiscent of a bridesmaid dress.
January Jones wearing Lanvin. Not sure how I feel about this dress or the headband.
Anna Paquin wearing Stella McCartney. Beautiful dress, but hate the black shoes.
